SEPUTARPROPERTI/Bandung – PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) terus mendorong kelestarian lingkungan dan implementasi ESG. Kali ini BSI mendorong pengembangan sektor pariwisata berkelanjutan dan ekonomi sirkular di Tanah Air.

Upaya tersebut sejalan dengan komitmen BSI untuk memberikan kemaslahatan kepada masyarakat, melalui implementasi prinsip Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) demi mewujudkan pertumbuhan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Direktur Utama BSI Hery Gunardi mengatakan BSI sebagai satu-satunya bank yang memberikan keseimbangan antara kebutuhan finansial, sosial dan spiritual, terus meningkatkan peran dan kontribusinya dalam upaya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan dan memberi manfaat ekonomi bagi masyarakat.

“Kegiatan yang diselenggarakan ini merupakan bagian dari implementasi ESG BSI pada pilar Sustainable Operation dan pilar Sustainable Beyond Banking. BSI fokus terhadap kegiatan yang mendukung pencapaian target Net Zero Emission Indonesia di tahun 2060 salah satunya dengan mengkampanyekan wisata yang tetap menjaga kelestarian lingkungan dan ekonomi sirkular bagi masyarakat,” kata Hery.

Di Cikole Lembang, BSI mengadakan kegiatan pengecatan tempat sampah, menempatkan tempat sampah di sejumlah titik strategis lokasi wisata, pengelolaan sampah, dan mendaur ulangnya agar dapat dipergunakan kembali menjadi barang serbaguna.

Lalu, BSI juga berpartisipasi dalam perbaikan mushola yang ada di sekitar lokasi wisata tersebut. Selain itu, BSI memberikan edukasi pengolahan sampah agar bisa didaur ulang dan dijual kembali untuk peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat.
